Garage Door Repair Prices, Louisville & Fisherville KY
The price we quote is the price you pay. You get the exact figure in writing before we touch anything, and it does not change afterwards.
Most companies in this market will not put a number on a page. These are ours. They are ranges where the work genuinely varies and starting prices where it depends on what you choose, and we say which is which.

Ask us about our Military and First Responder discounts.
First, the number we quote is the number you pay. There’s nothing added at the end.
Second, there are no hidden costs. What is written down before we start is what you pay at the end, and nothing appears in between. If you need something, we’ll tell you. If you don’t, we won’t.
Third, we’re your neighbors, and that’s how you’re going to be treated. Our commitment is to help you, to do the work right, and to treat you fairly and honestly. That’s how we want to build our business and treat our neighbors.
What moves the price
Four things, mostly:
- The size of the door. A double door carries more weight, and heavier springs cost more than lighter ones.
- What is already on it. Worn rollers and frayed cables often turn up during a spring job, and we quote them before we fix them.
- How the door is built. Insulation, glass and finish are the difference between the starting price and the final one.
- Whether the opener is involved. Some failures are the door, some are the operator, and they are priced separately.
The price we quote is the price you pay
Four things worth knowing:
- Kentucky charges no sales tax on this work — it counts as an improvement to real property — so we do not add sales tax to the price we quote.
- Our quote is the price you pay. No more, no less.
- It is worth saying plainly, because most people expect sales tax to be added at the end.
- It is one of the ways we give you accurate information up front, so you know what to expect.
Questions about what things cost
How much does garage door spring repair cost in Louisville?
Springs are $180 to $285 each. Most doors have two, and we replace both as a matched set, so a typical two-spring door runs $360 to $570 plus the $79.95 service call. We don’t replace just one spring on a two-spring door: the second one is the same age and will fail next, usually within months, and you’d pay the service call twice. What is the service call, and when do I pay it?
The service call is $79.95 during normal hours, which are Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, any day of the week. It buys a full inspection of the door and its hardware, diagnostics on what has actually failed, and a written quote for putting it right. The repair itself is priced on top of it, and you get that figure before any work starts. After 7:00 PM, calls are handled as after-hours emergency service at $159.95, until we open again at 7:00 AM. That is the same visit and the same package — the extra is for the hour, not for more work — and you are told the rate and agree to it before we set off.Do you waive the service call if I go ahead with the work?
No, and we would rather say so here than at your door. It covers the drive, the fuel, the insurance and the cost of running the truck. Companies that advertise a waived service call have not stopped paying for those things — they have moved the cost into the repair price instead. Ours stays separate, and you see it before we set off. What is free is a short list: an estimate on a new door or a replacement, an estimate on a new opener installation, and the $99.95 tune-up, which is the whole visit with nothing added on top. A repair call is charged, in hours or out of them, whether or not the repair turns into a replacement. Is the tune-up price on top of the service call?
No. The $99.95 tune-up is all-inclusive — that is the whole visit, with nothing added on top. They are two different visits: the service call is an inspection, a diagnosis and a quote on a door with something wrong with it, and the tune-up is the full service on a door before anything goes wrong.Do you charge for an estimate on a new door?
No. Estimates on a door replacement or a new door installation are free — there is no service-call charge on those visits. The $79.95 applies to repair visits, where we are inspecting and diagnosing a fault. Is sales tax added to garage door repairs in Kentucky?
No. Kentucky does not tax this work — it counts as an improvement to real property — so the figure we quote is the figure you pay. There is no tax added at the end.Why is the door price a starting price rather than a fixed one?
A new residential door starts at from about $1,136, and where it lands depends on size, style, insulation, glass, finish and options. We measure, show you the options and their prices, and you decide before anything is ordered. What is covered by the warranty?
1 year on parts and labor, and 5 years on DuraMaster springs. Those are the actual terms — we do not advertise a longer one and then define it away in the paperwork.
